<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Calculation of excavation pits according to EC7, DIN, EAB/EAU</h2>

<p>WALLS shoring, the further development of the classic WALLS excavation pit, which has been tried and tested for over 25 years, provides planners with an efficient and extremely powerful state-of-the-art excavation pit programme. In WALLS shoring, various types of shoring can be verified as freely cantilevered or anchored wall constructions. Thanks to the consistently object-orientated, graphically interactive input interface, WALLS Shoring always offers a clear and fast input option for both simple problems and complex terrain and excavation geometries. With the 2012 version, Eurocode 7 with NADs was implemented as a calculation basis in addition to the previously valid basic construction standards. Special requirements from EAB and EAU continue to be fully supported.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Entry-level version of our tried-and-tested WALLS shoring programme</h2>

<p>WALLS-LT is the smaller version of our proven WALLS shoring programme at an attractive price. Sufficient for the vast majority of all problems that arise when verifying shoring walls, the planner has an efficient and tried-and-tested, state-of-the-art excavation programme at his disposal. In WALLS-LT, various types of shoring can be verified as freely cantilevered or multiple back-anchored wall constructions. Thanks to the intuitive, graphical programme input and the clear, structured results output in our new results browser, WALLS-LT offers the planning engineer the best possible support and thus contributes significantly to efficient, time-saving processing. The programme supports calculation and verification in accordance with current European standards with NADs for Germany and other European countries. Special requirements from EAB and EAU are fully supported, older basic construction standards can still be selected, e.g. for recalculations.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Finite element calculation of excavations</h2>

<p>Due to the increasing building density, ever more precise analyses of deformations in the area of excavations are required. Thanks to effective input and automatic finite element meshing, the WALLS-FEM programme enables the economical calculation of complex excavations.</p>

<p>The SOFiSTiK calculation kernel implemented in WALLS-FEM uses modern material laws to calculate realistic settlement depressions and wall displacements in all construction phases in accordance with the new EAB recommendation EB103.</p>

<p>WALLS-FEM is the ideal complement to the WALLS chain. In this programme combination, the geometry (embedment depth, required anchor lengths, etc.) is first determined using the <a href="https://www.fides-dvp.de/project/walls-verbau/" data-type="project" data-id="47738">WALLS Shoring</a> programme according to the formulae of the EAB and then the system is imported into WALLS-FEM and the FE calculation is carried out after a few additional entries. Since all relative displacements of soil, anchor and wall are fully considered in the FEM, it can now be verified whether the assumptions of the EAB were correct for this case. Thanks to the interactive editable nature of all objects (such as anchor angles and lengths, prestressing, etc.), the system can be optimised very easily, e.g. to minimise settlements.</p>
